In Memoriam

Dear Peace and Hope International family around the world,

It is with very heavy hearts that we share very sad news.  Our very dear friend Tamara Calderwood passed at the age of 21 this Saturday 6th of April around 4:30 pm, EDT.

We are all heart-broken for this immense loss, and we ask for prayers in support of her loving parents Silvia and Alastair Calderwood.

Tamara was a very talented and generous young lady.

As a volunteer, she traveled to Lima, Peru, to take photos of beneficiaries of Peace and Hope programs there.

She once said that her hope was that “through my photography work, many others will be inspired to support this cause financially and/or volunteering to serve with Peace and Hope International, contributing their time and talent. Empathy is a gift that we all need to cultivate.”

Tamara opposed cruelty, racism and violence and her loving memory will always inspire all of us at Peace and Hope International to continue serving those who suffer violence in Latin America.
