The Peace and Hope Deaf Children’s Education Program

The Peace and Hope Deaf Children’s Education Program in the Amazonian region of  Peru seeks to affirm the fundamental rights of children who otherwise would experience discrimination and exclusion due to their hearing disability, and their poverty condition.  Our team is dedicated to empowering deaf children by teaching them sign language and also supporting their wholistic development as equal citizens.  The team also carries out educational programs for the children’s parents and siblings, public school teachers, public servants, and develops campaigns to raise awareness in the local communities about the rights and needs of deaf individuals.
